G10の亀岡です！昨年の8月に、オランダをフィールドに探究学習をしたいと思い、トビタテ！留学JAPANのプログラムで現地に行ってきました。私は「建築を通して環境問題を解決する」というテーマを設定し、特に循環型社会を実現するための建築や都市の取り組みについて探究しました。

現地では、建築設計事務所を訪問し、廃棄物を資源として活用するデザインや、廃棄を出さない仕組みづくりについて実際のプロジェクトを通して学ばせていただきました。また、語学学校での学びを通して、国際的な視点も養うことができました。

今後は、この経験を学校での探究活動に活かしながら、日本でも持続可能な建築のあり方を追究していきたいと考えています。

I’m Kameoka from G10! Last August, wanting to conduct inquiry-based learning in the Netherlands, I went there through the Tobitate program! Study Abroad JAPAN program. I set the theme “Solving Environmental Problems Through Architecture” and explored architectural and urban initiatives aimed at realizing a circular society.

While there, I visited architectural design firms and learned through actual projects about designs that utilize waste as resources and systems designed to eliminate waste. Additionally, studying at a language school helped me cultivate an international perspective.

From now on, I plan to apply this experience to inquiry activities at school and continue exploring sustainable approaches to architecture in Japan as well.
