Good morning, everyone. We’re in charge of summer school PR. This was the fourth day of HiGA Summer School, and the students who had mostly used Japanese, challenged themselves with difficult English wards and gave it their all in the final presentation of the peace project. Also, in the evening, we enjoyed our farewell party and recreation together with the students. We had a great time with our friends!

    Good morning, everyone. We’re in charge of summer school PR. Yesterday, we did kayaking on the Okushi beach. For most participants it was the first time to kayak. However, we did nice kayaking with buddy’s supports. At night, we had a talent show that students planed. In the talent show, they showed what they are good at. A lot of people presented their hobbies, for example singing ​songs and playing the instruments. Through the talent show, we could understand each other.

Hello, everyone. We’re in charge of summer school PR. Yesterday, the peace project workshop started. We thought about what we need to realize peace in the future. Even though it’s only the 2nd day, HiGA students and participants had worked together. We’ll make good use of remaining time to make good presentations!

  Welcome to HiGA! Good morning, everyone. We’re in charge of the summer school PR. Finally, HiGA Summer school 2021 has begun. HiGA students and participants all seemed nervous at first. However, going through the welcome party, they warmed to each other. From tomorrow, the project will start. Cooperating in pairs, we’re going to make unforgettable memories this summer!

Today, two students and the principal of HiGA had an online meeting with the superintendent of the HPBOE. This meeting was to inform the public of HiGA receiving authorization to teach the high school-based DP. The two students presented their feelings about learning at HiGA and their hopes for their future. The superintendent informed our students to take care of their health and encourage their peers to reach their potential. TSS will broadcast the details of this meeting about 5pm in the evening. Additionally, NHK and Chugoku-Shinbun will broadcast it in the near future. Please watch it.

The words “Ookushi” and “Welcome” and lovely flowers were planted in front of the school gate. Volunteers from the local community have been preparing for the entrance ceremony. In addition, they have made handmade tulip decorations. Thanks to the support of these people, we will continue to form a learning community rooted in the community this year.

On February 27, a school song and school emblem presentation was held for students, faculty and staff, and other related parties at the Osakikamijima Cultural Center Kamimine Hall. The school song and school emblem were completed with the advice and cooperation of experts based on the ideas that the students had come up with. In the abundant nature of Osakikamijima and the warm support of the local people, we value the global perspective and the heart rooted in the region, and express the identity of our school to form a learning community that continues to learn independently. ..
