こんにちは！G11の戸川舞桜です。今年の夏、AIG高校生外交官渡米プログラム に参加しました。このプログラムでは、ワシントンD.C.に日本とアメリカからそれぞれ20名の高校生が集まり、ディスカッションやプレゼンテーションを行いました。

ツアーでは、様々な記念館を訪問しました。また、アメリカの高校生とルームメイトとして、約10日間衣食住を共にしました。さらに、戦後80年という節目にあたり「ピーススピーチ」を行い、平和について日米双方の視点から学びを深めることができました。

This summer, I participated in the AIG High School Diplomat Program to the United States. In this program, 20 high school students each from Japan and the United States gathered in Washington, D.C., to engage in discussions and presentations.

During the tour, we visited various memorials. We also lived together with American high school students as roommates for about 10 days, sharing meals and lodging. Furthermore, marking the 80th anniversary of the end of the war, we delivered “Peace Speeches,” deepening our understanding of peace from both Japanese and American perspectives.
