9月22日に高校二年生9人が大阪・関西万博2025の英国パビリオンで「未来に力を（Come Power the Future）」をテーマにした展示と体験型イベントに参加しました。このイベントでは、クリーンエネルギー革新における英国の世界的リーダーシップを知るイベントで、洋上風力発電プロジェクトレイアウト設計シミュレーターを使って、発電効率やコストを考慮しながら最適な配置をゲーム感覚で体験しました。エネルギーや核融合について学んでいる他の学生との交流もあり、お互いに意見を交換しながら、未来のエネルギーの可能性や課題についての理解を深めました。また、エディンバラ公爵と公爵夫人とも交流し、直接お話を伺う貴重な経験も得ることができました。
On September 22, nine G11 students visited the UK Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai to take part in an exhibition and interactive event called “Come Power the Future”. At this event, we leaned about the UK’s global leadership in clean energy innovation. Using an offshore wind power project simulator, we experiences designing the best layout while considering power efficiency and costs in a game-like way. We also exchanged ideas with other students studying energy and nuclear fusion, which helped us better understand the possibilities and challenged of future energy. In addition, we had the valuable opportunity to meet and talk with the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh.
