HiROSHIMA GLOBAL ACADEMY

Public IB World School

HiGA is a public IB World School offering the Middle Years Programme and Diploma Programme.

The Middle Years Program (MYP) is for students aged 11-16. At our school, we work on this program from the first grade of junior high school to the winter of the first grade of high school. The MYP curriculum framework comprises eight subject groups, providing a broad and balanced education for early adolescents. The MYP requires at least 50 hours of teaching time for each subject group, in each year of the programme. In the final two years of the programme, carefully-defined subject group flexibility allows students to meet local requirements and personal learning goals.(From the International Baccalaureate “Middle Years Programme”)

HiGA is a public school funded by the Prefectural Board of Education. As a public school, HiGA tuition fees are reasonable. HiGA offers outstanding learning opportunities for motivated students from all over Japan, regardless of their economic circumstances. Overseas students are invited to join the senior high school and help create a culture of diversity through the sharing of cultural perspectives.

Annual tuition fees 118,800 JPY
Annual Dormitory Fees 444,000 JPY
Annual Miscellaneous Fees 258,000 JPY

If a student’s parents/guardians live outside of Japan, they can receive free tuition.
