At our school, students practice kendo each year as part of their physical education classes. When they become high school students, international students also join the lessons, creating natural opportunities for cultural exchange through martial arts. We also invite instructors from local dojo, who offer thoughtful guidance and allow students to experience the intensity of real matches up close.  There are moments when a powerful shout breaks the stillness of the gymnasium.  Within each voice lies the students’ sincerity and their desire to grow alongside their peers.  In our kendo program, we value not only the development of technical skill, but also the cultivation of respect, focus, and self-discipline.  Through every

We were honored to welcome professional SUP racer Mr. Rai Taguchi to our school for a special demonstration and lecture.  During the demonstration, Mr. Taguchi rode the same SUP board he uses in competition, allowing students to experience firsthand the impressive speed and power of elite-level racing.  In the lecture, we viewed footage from the 2022 World Tour. Despite falling into the water immediately after the start due to challenging conditions, Mr. Taguchi made an extraordinary comeback and won the race. He explained that the fall was “within expectations” and that he had prepared a race plan for such situations. His mindset and mental resilience as an athlete competing on the world

Our school recently hosted a special outreach lesson on electron microscopy, welcoming instructors from JEOL Ltd. During the session, students learned about the principles and applications of electron microscopes through an engaging and easy-to-understand lecture. In the hands-on portion, students had the opportunity to operate an electron microscope themselves. They observed fascinating microstructures such as an ant’s body, animal hair, and microorganisms that are normally invisible to the human eye. As the highly detailed images appeared on the screen, students reacted with excitement and amazement, carefully manipulating the equipment while discovering an entirely new world. This invaluable experience allowed students to interact directly with professional scientific instruments, fostering a deeper

On Wednesday, June 25, a group of students from Stanford University visited Hiroshima Global Academy and took part in meaningful interactions with our students. During their visit, our students asked the Stanford guests questions about their university life and studies, while also answering questions posed by the visitors. They also had the opportunity to share what they have been learning at school and received valuable advice and encouragement in return. This two-way exchange created an engaging and friendly atmosphere. After the discussion, they shared lunch together, further deepening their connections through casual conversation. Although some were initially nervous, they gradually opened and began discussing a wide range of topics —
