Six high school students, mostly international students, participated in a local rice planting event. The students said, “I had never seen a rice field before I came to Japan.” “I am glad that I decided to come to Japan to study, because through this experience of rice planting, one of Japan’s traditional events, I was able to learn about the work of local people.” “I am grateful to the people who made this experience possible, and I look forward to continuing to experience new things here in Japan.
