On Thursday, January 8, the opening ceremony for the third semester was held.
We are happy to see students refreshed in both mind and body after the three-week winter break.
During the ceremony, Principal Yoshimura touched upon the current unstable global situation, reaffirming the importance of our school’s Mission, Vision, and Values: ‘to be a global leader in building peace through the power of learning.’
Furthermore, during the student representative addresses, representatives from both the junior high and senior high school sections spoke of their aspirations for 2026, reflecting on regrets and lessons learned from 2025.
Our school received considerable media coverage over the New Year period. This has spurred us on, and we feel motivated to approach our daily activities with an even greater sense of responsibility than before. In 2026, all members of HiGA will work together to ensure it is a successful year.
