At our school, we launched the Harmony Beyond Borders project with the aim of fostering an environment where students and staff can learn about diverse cultures, recognize differences, and grow together in a spirit of “co-education” regardless of cultural background. As part of this initiative, an intercultural exchange workshop for faculty and staff was held on Wednesday, January 7, with Ms. Hamanaga and Mr. Masuda from the Hiroshima NPO Center as guest facilitators. Through interactive games, participants experienced moments when their own rules did not apply and when their thoughts could not be effectively communicated. This allowed them to gain a deeper, simulated understanding of the emotions felt by international students at our school. As a Global Leader School, we will continue to deepen our learning and work toward creating a positive and inclusive school culture.
