We were honored to welcome professional SUP racer Mr. Rai Taguchi to our school for a special demonstration and lecture.
During the demonstration, Mr. Taguchi rode the same SUP board he uses in competition, allowing students to experience firsthand the impressive speed and power of elite-level racing.
In the lecture, we viewed footage from the 2022 World Tour. Despite falling into the water immediately after the start due to challenging conditions, Mr. Taguchi made an extraordinary comeback and won the race. He explained that the fall was “within expectations” and that he had prepared a race plan for such situations. His mindset and mental resilience as an athlete competing on the world stage left a strong impression on all of us.
We sincerely wish him continued success in his future endeavors.
