On April 5 (Fri.), we held the arrival ceremony for the 2024 school year and the opening ceremony for the first semester.
At the arrival ceremony, we welcomed 14 new teachers, marking a fresh start for HiGA’s 6th year.
The opening ceremony also marked the return of the current students to HiGA after a three-week spring break, bringing the school back to life. In his opening remarks, Principal Fukushima reminded the students of the first and second cohort, who have grown up through trial and error since the school’s opening, and encouraged them to be even more active in the future. Like the chinese elms in courtyard, now standing alone without the supports that have held them up these past 5 years, our students are also standing more independently.
We cannot wait to meet the new students at the entrance ceremony.
